This volume uses the four-temperament principle - popular sanguine, perfect melancholy, powerful choleric, peaceful phlegmatic - (as popularized by Tim LaHaye) to help readers to examine their own strengths and weaknesses and, thus, to understand other people and appreciate what makes them different. Once people know why they get annoyed with those who are constantly late, or can't stand people whose desk is always tidy, then people can start to appreciate their own God-given personality and other people's. The results can affect marriages, work, friendships and churches. Through numerous humorous anecdotes, the author helps readers improve upon their strengths and correct their weaknesses.

A real eye opener. This book explains so much about how those around us are different, not wrong! This book is so helpful in understanding yourself as well as learning how to tone down the aspects of your personality that irritate others. It also gives really practical suggestions for working with people who have a different personality. If everyone in the world read this book we would have a lot more understanding and patience with each other!

Life Changing
Have you ever wondered why you always butt heads with a particular person? Or wondered why your spouse just can't seem to hurry themselves? And why someone else just won't slow down?\\r\\n\\r\\nI read this book, and it was like the clouds parted and I had attained a clarity I'd never dreamed possible. You can't change people, but understanding your personalty type and their personalty type helps to explain so many things and hence makes it easier to deal with. \\r\\n\\r\\nThis book has completely changed - IMPROVED - how I interact with and react to people. I can't recommend it enough. \\r\\n\\r\\nNot only will this book change your life, but it will give you a few good laughs in the process.
