**Scott Morrison, Australia's 30th Prime Minister (2018-2022), offers a unique insider's account of a Christian who was open about his faith and operated at the top level of politics for more than a decade. During one of the toughest periods since the second world war, covering drought, wildfires, a global pandemic and recession, he chronicles God's faithfulness throughout, win or lose, public criticism or public success.**

Less political memoir and more pastoral encouragement, Morrison is passionate about encouraging others to discover how they can access and see the many blessings of God in their own lives, no matter their circumstances, drawing on Jeremiah 29:11, that God's plans are for our good and not our harm, to give us a future and a hope. In each section Morrison asks the questions all of us are looking to find answers to:
- Who am I Discovering your purpose.
- How should I live Finding your pathway.
- What should I hope for Embracing your future.

Full of fascinating insights into the handling of some of the most significant global events and issues of our time Morrison's honest, vulnerable and reflective answers offers a unique lens to better understand your relationship with God and the blessing that can flow from such a relationship.

Alongside an account of high-level politics in a new media age where cancel culture, identity politics and deep secularisation is taking hold across so many western societies, creating a truly post Christian west, Morrison testifies to the faithful love and blessings of God.

‘Most politicians write books about what they’ve done; this story is about what I believe God has done for me,’ – Scott Morrison, interviewed for *The Australian* newspaper.

Plans For Your Good: A Prime Minister's Testimony of God's Faithfulness

Wow. I expected another post political biography ""weren't I great"". Instead I got ""trust in Jesus"". There are many mixed views of Morrison as PM, and doubtless he made some good calls and some bad calls as PM. This book is not about that. It is an encouragement to each of us to trust in Jesus, quoting scripture after scripture. I think it is worth reading because a major public figure encourages us to trust in God, without promoting the political system.

    Encouraging and challenging

I was very eager to read this book. Living out and applying one’s faith in a very secular and public role is challenging. Overall, I enjoyed the book. Morrison uses many stories from family and politics to highlight his journey of faith as Prime Minister. At times I felt some of the stories jumped from one point to another. Morrison shares several personal stories, some which emotionally drew me in as they (Morrison and his wife) remained faithful to God. I recommend this book to all Christians, especially those working in public roles.

I did have one issue with the book. Morrison didn’t write to me. I don’t mean me personally. He wrote to an American audience. I must admit when I realised this (very early on in the book), I almost put the book down. But reading beyond his intended audience, his stories are still relevant, encouraging and challenging for every follower of Christ.
