80s retelling of Pride and Prejudice

If you were a teen in the 80s, and like Pride and Prejudice, this book is for you. It was such a clever retelling which had me captivated till the end to see how each scene I knew so well from the original would play out in this contemporary version. Given I was only a toddler in the 80s, a lot of the (many) teen/80s culture references probably went over my head but I still appreciated the mentions (especially those I did know). My one downer was that it felt very teen-agey at times in the storytelling, although I think that was done purposely to fit the book. Still, a really clever retelling and one I enjoyed.
