WHAT IS JESUS WORTH TO YOU?    It's easy for American Christians to forget how Jesus said his followers would actually live, what their new lifestyle would actually look like. WHAT IS JESUS WORTH TO YOU?

It's easy for American Christians to forget how Jesus said his followers would actually live, what their new lifestyle would actually look like. They would, he said, leave behind security, money, convenience, even family for him. They would abandon everything for the gospel. They would take up their crosses daily...

BUT WHO DO YOU KNOW WHO LIVES LIKE THAT? DO YOU?

In *Radical*, David Platt challenges you to consider with an open heart how we have manipulated the gospel to fit our cultural preferences. He shows what Jesus actually said about being his disciple--then invites you to *believe* and *obey* what you have heard. And he tells the dramatic story of what is happening as a "successful" suburban church decides to get serious about the gospel according to Jesus.

Finally, he urges you to join in The Radical Experiment --a one-year journey in authentic discipleship that will transform how you live in a world that desperately needs the Good News Jesus came to bring.

Challenging in all the best ways

My brother gave me this book when I was lukewarm in my faith, having accepted Jesus as my saviour but not as Lord of my life. Reading it challenged me in all the best ways and definitely played a part in my fully surrendering my life to Christ. It challenges Western Christianity and the prosperity gospel, calling Christians to wake up from living a self-centred life and following Christ‘s example of radical sacrifice in all different kinds of areas. I have given this book to many friends, hoping they are challenged to grow through it as well.

    Challenging the west

I read this book as I was drawing closer to God after some years of wandering off a bit. This book challenged my view of the gospel which was rather self centered and it also made me aware of how uncomfortable some of the things Jesus said were. I’m glad this book shook my faith from its cosiness to grow more hungry for God

Every Christian in the western church should read!

David Platt takes you in a very convicting and challenging journey as you read this book. \\r\\n\\r\\nRadical is full of biblical truth and knowledge about the world in which we live in, and the comfortabilities that us as Christians conform too when we should be stepping out into the danger that Christianity is. \\r\\nHe focuses on equipping believers and encourages us to embrace our role is as disciples of Jesus Christ. We were made for more than just to fit the mold of the Western Church. \\r\\n\\r\\nEver want to understand more about our faith and what we are called to be when we die to ourselves and follow Christ then this is an absolute must read.

    A must read

I have lost track of how many copies of this book I have bought - well over 20. I wanted all the leaders at our church to read it, and my family members too. Because I need all the reminders I can get that this life is not about me and my comfort (or even those I love around me) but about Jesus and his glory. This book challenges many of the common-sense things we do that seem reasonable but often are steps away from trusting God towards relying on ourselves. Uncomfortable to read - but that's how you know its important!!
