Great stories
The stories in this book are fantastic, simple yet not missing the truth, engagingly written, with a """"what did we learn?"""" page after each. I don't love the pictures, hence 4*. It's too bad they aren't individual stories rather than multiple in one. ,

Go past the cover
Despite the cover which seems quite dated, this book ( series) is brilliant! They are designed specifically to be read aloud and they so wonderfully meet this purpose. They are written with lots of onomatopoeia (like rat-a-tat-tat) and with only a small amount of text per page - and the kids just love it. The books are large and with bright illustrations, making them perfect for reading to a preschool Sunday School class, for a church Kids Spot, or for a playgroup. I have only recently discovered this series and will be using them over and over again.
