Rehab

In a genre dominated by secular artists which promote everything apart from Godliness, Lecrae again creates a ray of hope for lovers of modern music. This album delivers the catchy beats and melodies expected of the raphip-hop genre, but with sound, Biblical messages that Lecrae himself has learnt throughout his turbulent journey. The thing that separates this album from other Lecrae works is his repeated collaboration with other artists. I personally have been encouraged in my struggles by many of the songs on this album, especially top tracks 'Background' (feat. Andy Mineo) and 'God is Enough' (feat. Flame Jai). A must if you love God and you're into modern music!

Perhaps one of the best Christian hip hop albums I've listened to. As far as sound goes this is as good as Lecrae's albums get! \\r\\n\\r\\nUnfortunately I was not a huge fan of the main tracks for this album ('Just Like You' 'High' 'Killa'). The intro 'Check In' sounds totally awesome, but then it goes into 'Killa' which I would describe as a lower energy song - kind of draining. I can understand why it is there, as it makes the whole theme of the album flow, it's just that I tend to like the positive songs which come later. 'Killa' is basically proverbs chapter 6-7 put into a rhyme. \\r\\n\\r\\nFrom my perspective the album just gets better as it progresses. 'Gotta know' picks up the pace and energy levels, plus it has a stronger climax toward the end. 'High' is also a really cool sounding song, but the Sho Baraka feature didn't work for me and the chorus could be a little less repetitive. \\r\\n\\r\\nThe best section for me is tracks 10 - 15. These songs are a cool blend of high energy to smooth meditative songs with great lyrics that relate to and encourage us through life's challenges. \\r\\nThe more I listen to Rehab the harder I find it to pick a favourite. All the songs work really well together for me. Even the main tracks and their order grew on me. \\r\\n\\r\\nThis is one Christian hip hop album that I would recommend to a non-Christian. Clearly lots of hard work was put into creating original sounds and meaningful lyrics, and it shows.

From the first song """"Check In"""" to the last song """"Release Date"""", every single song on this record plays a story. Plus, there is now a Bonus Track added to this album! Outstanding tracks on this album: Divine Intervention, Gotta Know, Children of the Light, New Shalom, Background, and Release Date. This album also includes collaborations by artists like: Tedashii, Trip Lee, PRo, KB, Jai, Sho Baraka, FLAME, Sonny Sandoval from P. O. D. and alot more. \\r\\nI'd recommended this album to anyone, infact, Jesus Freak Hideout has proven that even people who don't like Hip-Hop/Rap music liked that album. The question is, are you ready for Rehab?
