Millions of church kids are growing up and deciding to leave the church. They listened attentively in Sunday school, made friends, and seemed committed. But one day, they quit. What happened? The Bible says we love God because he first loved us. So if we are not primarily teaching our kids about God's love for us in Christ, we may miss our opportunity to capture their hearts. But what does it look like to teach a gospel-centered lesson?

*Show Them Jesus* is an instruction manual for teachers of kids and teens written by a lay Bible teacher with 30 years' experience. With a simple framework and lots of real-life examples, Klumpenhower's book helps teachers to identify and communicate the heart of the gospel to each child in each lesson. Conventional wisdom says, "Make class more fun!" Or just, "Make it easier!" But *Show Them Jesus* challenges the culture of low-stakes, low-expectations teaching and invites teachers to do nothing less than teach and treasure the good news of Jesus in every lesson. *Show Them Jesus*'s how-to approach will compliment and enrich existing lessons or teaching materials and is appropriate for teachers of children and teens in any setting.

You can challenge the culture of low-stakes, low-expectations teaching and make a radical ministry pledge-to do nothing less than teach and treasure the Good News of Jesus. Lei Jack Klumpenhower show you how to put the gospel front and center every day in your teaching of children and youth. His how-to, gospel-centric approach will complement and enrich existing lessons or teaching materials and help teachers and parents to make the most of every teaching moment, whether in the classroom or at home. Appropriate for teachers and parents of children and teens in any setting. Book jacket.

    Book for Sunday School Teacher

I read this book to equip myself as a Sunday school teacher. It helps me to change my perspective in how to see this ministry as partnering with God instead of just serving. Many more insights that helps us to guide the children to value the Good News. Recommended for the kids ministry

    Everyone needs to read this!

Whether you are a kids minister, volunteer leader or Christian parent you need to read this book!\\r\\nJack writes with such authenticity, raw honesty and genuine passion for Jesus and for kids to come to love him for who he is. I had always wrestled with the balance of biblical teaching, structure and fun in kids ministry, but Jack points everything back to Jesus, showing how every aspect of our programs, from our planned talks, to sign in, from discipline, to games, should centre around Jesus if we truly trust him and want the kids to genuinely grasp their faith for themselves. Jack's personal stories from his ministry experience helpfully lead the reader to think through the practical applications of his principles and ideas. Every page helps the reader to consider how their interactions with children can more faithfully and effectively. . . """"show them Jesus"""". \\r\\nPlease do yourself, your ministry and every kid you'll ever encounter a favour and take the time to read and carefully digest this book.

Essential reading for anyone with kids or in kids ministry.

The bible is full of examples of people who trusted God's promises, who had faith in His sovereignty and were devoted to doing good. A huge mistake teachers make is to hold these humans up on a pedestal and encourage the kids to be like Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Paul, etc. Why is this a mistake? It is focussing on humans, not on God! Jack gives great strategies to help show kids Jesus instead of humans, whether teaching from the OT or NT, and the importance that our actions should flow from Him, not to earn His favour. \\r\\nGreat for parents and teachers of little kids, school kids and teenagers. An enjoyable and encouraging book you won't want to put down, and one you'll come back to time and time again. \\r\\nI have 10 copies so I can get as many of my Sunday School and Kids program leaders to read it, it is essential for anyone in kids ministry.

Great for people working with kids

This book was great. So focussed on the good news of Jesus and how to pass it on to the younger generations. Great use of examples, humble about own failures, and best of all - so focused on Jesus. If you work with kids or if you are a parent, I highly recommend this book.
