    Page turning

When I finished the book, my brain asked, "When is the next book coming out?" Unfortunately I had to answer that this book was not even released yet.

There is much hurt, pain and confusion in this book. But there is also hope and kindness. There is trust and betrayal, people who were mean to be dead live and people who were meant to live die. Friendships are made, and battles fought.

The book is page turning all the way through. I stayed up later than I had meant to to finish reading it. As soon as I finished Orphan's Song, I read the first chapter of Songkeeper (which was available early in Gillian's newsletter) and it got right into the action and did not leave me in any better situation than then end of Orphan's Song.

There is more violence in Songkeeper than the first book, so I would not recommend it to younger readers (probably 13+).
