'Faith doesn't mean you have to be especially "religious". But, in a nutshell, my faith tells me that I am known, that I am secure and that I am loved - regardless of the storms I may find myself in from time to time, regardless of how often I fall and fail.' - Bear Grylls

My 10 year old loves this book and will alternate between reading by himself and us reading it together. Love how Bear Grylls shares his faith and testimony for young men today

Positive thinking
For kids that like outdoor adventures, this is a good book. There are lots of personal anecdotes and stories from Bear Grylls life combined with devotional and spiritual links. They are in short-ish sections, so kids can come and go reading this as they want. Simple language and scenarios. Book would be good for upper primary kids.

Young Adventurers Delight
My kids already had a love for all things Adventure and therefore think Bear Grylls is a bit of hero. But even if yours aren't, this book has page after page of deep questions that correlate directly back to scripture via real life application. It is written from Bear's perspective and the language is simple for children to understand the full meaning, while the graphic style is attractive to the young readers. We read it as a short devotion (2-4 spaced out pages) and it provides a starting point for lost of good conversations.
