    Deeply Thoughtful and Life-giving

Our lives are often overcrowded because technology continues to impinge into every crack and crevice of our world. This book helps us create the space necessary for us to breathe again. \\n\\nThere are many things to appreciate about Spacemaker. For one, Daniel does the hard work of engaging with high-quality research, and, thinking deeply about where we find ourselves. He is therefore able to present some of the underlying paradigms associated with the creation of, and use of, technology. Understanding these helps us see with greater clarity and make more informed decisions. It allows us to not simply react to our present situation of technological distraction and addiction, but it allows us to think more broadly, more long-term, and design our engagement with technology so that we can be both,""""highly productive and deeply human. """" \\n\\nThe principles of making SPACE, and his ideas about implementing these with concrete practices are of immense value. If we put into practice the concepts shared, we will indeed unplug, recalibrate, and find space in our overcrowded lives. \\n\\nI highly recommend this book. Whilst it is written from the perspective of a productivity expert, this book is in fact for everyone; whether busy executives, or parents concerned about their children's technology dependence, or anyone who wonders about the time they spend on their digital devices. There is something for everybody to help them make space and thrive in this world.

Hard to put down then I keep on going back

In an age where digital connectivity has been pushed as the way to connect with each other, this is a refreshing explanation and antidote to the 'always online' impact. I found it hard to put down, and know that I keep going back, Dan's """"Spacemaker"""" brings both a clear rationale that makes sense to both the Christian and secular world. \\nJust one simple suggestion that I have applied and found particularly useful - removing a well known app that encourages lots of scrolling from my phone. Easy to do, it gained me time, and a little more relaxed view of the world.

    Important topic for today

This book is so important for the world we live in today. I come across many people in my line of work who have lost the ability to disconnect from the world of screens and work and be fully present, but desperately long to do so. This book is easy to read, practical, and has personal stories that help me believe this can be done! Thank you Daniel for writing this much needed book.

    Such a great read!!

Such an amazing read! I'm reading it again, and still am getting so much out of it for both myself and my girls (primary aged who are starting to want more tech/screens!). Love the practical and thoughtful insights that can be used in so many areas of life! \\nMy work routine is so much less busy and more productive after implementing just some of Daniel's concepts. \\nThank you so much for sharing your knowledge!

    Easy to read, important content

I would recommend this book to anyone who feels like they are online too much and wondering how to live a better life. I like the focus on making space, rather than digital addiction . . . it's more positive than other books I have read on this subject and yet provides incredibly practical ideas to live well. A refreshing style. Worth a read.
