This book is volume two of Justo Gonzalez's The Story of Christianity. It traces the history and development of Christianity from the Reformation to the present times. As the Christian Church celebrates the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, it was refreshing to read Gonzalaz's account of the Reformation. His narrative covers reformers like Luther, Zwingli, Calvin, the Anabaptists, and their immediate followers, also the spread of the Reformation throughout Europe as well as the Catholic counter-Reformation. Subsequent chapters show how Christianity developed and grew until the present times to become a global force and religion. Gonzalez's book ought to be on the shelf of every pastor and should also be required reading for seminarians and the interested lay Christians.
