A well structured and referenced single volume systematic theology beginning with theology proper and then moving to the doctrine of Scripture and the other loci of theology. I especially commend the author on his historical development of the doctrines from the whole sweep of church history is probably the most valuable contribution. The layout is easy to navigate with numbered sections, sub-sections and sub-sub-sections. Don't know much about author but he appears to come out of the Anglican reformed tradition but interacts more broadly in reformed orthodoxy. He tries more to present all the views and not always comes down on a fixed opinion, more descriptive rather than prescriptive approach. The doctrine of God as presented in the early ecumenical creeds was helpful. Overall a good contribution but diverges from my own position in places hence the 4 stars.

Biblical Systematic and thorough Theology
This is an excellent book, it has pride of place as a well set out, clearly articulated issues with a clear position that is faithful to the scriptures. Very highly recommended.
