Okay if you like the genre
I thoroughly enjoyed Morgan Busse's other two fantasy series, however this series (2 books, soul chronicles series) was not quite as good. The genre is victorian steampunk with some horror themes, which will not appeal to all. The protagonist and other characters are fairly believable with plausible emotional development, but the whole story leaves one a little unsatisfied. The story has a """"frankenstein"""" type storyline, but there is redemption and resolution in the end. I would not read again.
