Not what I was expecting
The daily story is a good length, linked with relevant bible verses. Most days activities are a easy and engaging, some require some prep or time which is difficult leading up to Christmas in my house.
The stories are better suited to adults than kids which isn't ideal for a family devotional. They are also written in the first person which feels a little weird when reading to my family.

Beautiful advent resource
This large hardcover book is beautifully presented, it would make a great gift for a family, and a wonderful ongoing resource to start a Christ cantered family Christmas tradition. It starts on the first of December and does a full page spread for each day, with bible verse, story and activity for each day. It is well written and would work best for ages 8 and up. There are pretty designs on each page, but it is not a picture book. A really lovely Christmas resource!
