With an emphasis on anticipating Jesus in the Old Testament, and making his crucifixion and resurrection the proper climax of the New Testament, this book is set apart from most. Not shying away from theology, albeit expressed simply, the meaning of the atonement is conveyed from the Exodus, Kings and prophets, to the New Testament fulfilment of Christ's redemptive mission. Ideal for family use, R.E teaching, and kids' ministries."

This is my go-to Bible for kids as it really emphasises the 'big picture' of how all the Bible stories link together and point to Jesus. It's taught me things too!\\nA great sized Bible and perfect amount of words to read a chapter a night before bed to 1-3 year olds. With 26 chapters, you can make it through more than once a month and have good repetition for kids and their memory.

Engaging
I have read this story bible through with my book-loving 2yo twice now. It is a requested book, and engaging for this age, but will still be engaging in years to come. There is a good ratio of pictures to words, the pictures are lovely, and the text is faithful to the Bible. It gets across the big picture, while still using some if the 'heroes'. My only criticism is that the characters are all fair skinned, including red-headed Eve, when this would not have been the case. It is a very big book.

Creative story of Bible Stories
The clear emphasis of this Childrens Bible is on weaving key Bible stories into a creative meta-story about God's plan for His world. The illustrations are creative in their variations of perspective and size, and blend extraordinarily well with the written story. The stories themselves are concise and strongly written; questions are interspersed within highlight that this a story designed to be read aloud. \\nIt works very well across a huge range of ages. I've read this book to my kids from the age of 2, and was recently used as the basis for a term of Sunday School classes for Primary aged kids. \\nHighly recommended.
