I am reading this in conjunction with the Wiersbe With the Word and finding it enriching and thought provoking. It includes lots of bible tools: Thoughts to ponder, key points, cross references, practical tips for application, prophecy, God at work drawing people to him, gospel harmony. . . It provides background information ie fascinating information about the Feast of Tabernacles and the setting in which Jesus said he was the Living Water and the Light of the World which helps one to get a bigger picture. It is engaging to read for example when talking about the woman caught in adultery : """"Those religious leaders had Jesus trapped. No matter which choice he took, he gave them ammunition to use against him. So Jesus chose option C; he ignored them (He's hard to keep in a box!)
