Former atheist and Chicago Tribune journalist Lee Strobel says yes! In this revised and updated bestseller, The Case for Christ, Strobel cross-examines a dozen experts with doctorates from schools such as Cambridge, Princeton, and Brandeis, asking hard-hitting questions - and building a captivating case for Christ's divinity.

Strobel challenges them with questions like, How reliable is the New Testament? Does evidence for Jesus exist outside the Bible? Is there any reason to believe the resurrection was an actual event?

Winner of the Gold Medallion Book Award and twice nominated for the Christian Book of the Year Award, Strobel's tough, point-blank questions read like a captivating, fast-paced novel. But it's not fiction. It's a riveting quest for the truth about history's most compelling figure.

The new edition includes scores of revisions and additions, including updated material on archaeological and manuscript discoveries, fresh recommendations for further study, and an interview with the author that tells dramatic stories about the book's impact, provides behind-the-scenes information, and responds to critiques of the book by skeptics.

As The Case for Christ and its ancillary resources approach 10 million copies in print, this updated edition will prove even more valuable to your spiritual journey.

    Such a great read

Strobel clearly and helpful explains the evidence behind the core tenets of Christian belief as he recounts his interviews with various experts. This book is great for answering various scientific objections to the core beliefs of Christianity.

    Facts and More Facts

The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel is a perfect Christian apologetics book for the skeptic. Lee Strobel was an atheist and an award winning legal editor for the Chicago Tribune. He has applied evidential tests as in a court of law, by interviewing experts on all the important topics that relate to the existence, death and resurrection of Christ, sometimes in graphic detail (he went into the medical side of how Christ died, for example). He not only seeks to address the arguments of atheists but also the Jesus Seminar, a group which was new to me. The book is very readable with clear, digestible points. The Case for Christ, now also a movie, has been revised and reprinted several times and has resulted in many people finding Jesus as their 'forgiver and leader' as Strobel puts it. I can't recommend this book highly enough.

    Excellent book

This book gave me solid evidence for the gospel of Jesus Christ and there were no points left unanswered. It is written in a very straightforward way, and it kept me engaged the whole way through.

Good Introduction into the Evidence for Jesus Christ

Lee Strobel's """"Case for Christ"""" provides a good overview of the historical and archeological evidence for Christ from the world's leading academic authorities. Lee balances the historical and archeological evidence with psychological, philosophical and theological arguments for and against Christ from theologians, skeptics and atheist groups providing a well balanced, evidence based argument. Every chapter is a record of the interview's Lee conducted with leading scholars about the evidence for Jesus Christ. I would have liked to see more personal reflections from Lee regarding his own thoughts about the evidence. Regardless, this book is a thoughtful introduction into the evidence for Jesus Christ.
