A great lead up to Easter
This book gives a 40 day look at the Easter story, going from Jesus as a boy in the temple through to his ascension. I didn't get it in time to do the full 40 days for this Easter, but planning to do this in following years. Each day/ story is one page of writing with one full page picture. The stories show how much Jesus loves us, and the great sacrifice that he provided. The bible references and a verse are at the top of each story, as well as an interesting discussion question at the bottom. I found the stories to be biblically accurate. I also enjoyed the letter from the author at the beginning, and the introduction and allegory. I think the illustrations are nicely done, and the book is a great size. A lovely hard-cover book with glossy pages. I would recommend it for children 5 and up.
