This book has ten short stories, such as the ugly duckling, the golden swan, and the emperors new clothes. The stories are written nicely, and made modern where applicable. Then at the end of each chapter there is a page or two of story linking it to Jesus, the gospel message and how we can apply the message of the story. It is done well, my 5 and 7 year old really enjoyed them, and asked for another story as I read each one. A great way to have the fables and fairy tales - could be a family devotion, read-aloud, or for older children to read by themselves. I look forward to getting the rest of the books in this series. It is a nicely sized paperback, with no illustrations, especially suited for 8-12 year olds.
