Great introduction to what the cross means

Great introduction to what the cross means for little one’s. repetitive words in the book make it easy for little to remember and engage with.

    This book is incredibly powerful

One of the few books for kids that connects the Old Testament with the New Testament. It explains the story of why Jesus died and rose again in a very simple and strong way.

    Our favourite book

This is our family’s favourite Easter book. Excellent graphics, well worded. Explains being sent from the garden as a result of our sin, not because God angry at us. My soon quotes to us saying, “He says because of your sin, you can’t come in. Luckily Jesus changed that for us!” Sure did, mate. Great resource.

    Beautiful and Memorable

The Garden, the Curtain and the Cross is our go-to gift for families with young kids.

The story of God's perfect creation ruined by human sin is beautifully and memorably told, culminating in the tearing of the Temple curtain at the death of Jesus. 'Because of your sin, you can't come in. . . ' isn't the end of the story. The bad news makes sense of the good news.

It sets the tone for the rest of the series, which is worth a look.

Just right for sharing the gospel with preschoolers

My 3 and 2 year olds were as captivated as I was when we shared this book for the first time! The illustrations are colourful and engaging throughout. I really liked the repeated phrases that I can easily refer back to in discussions with my children to help the truth 'stick' in their minds. The book beautifully describes the reality of sin and our human situation, and celebrates the power and wonder of Jesus' sacrifice to redeem us. Thank you King Jesus! We will read this again and again. Looking forward to checking out the others in this series.
