    A beautiful read

Ann Voskamp has tenderly written for each day of Advent a beautiful devotional that traces the line of Jesus up until His birth. Each devotion includes a passage of scripture to read, a creative and thought-provoking comment on the passage in relation to Christ's birth and His work of salvation, a quote and daily task of grace, and some questions to answer for yourself or to God. These devotions make one re-appreciate the grace of God in sending His Son and makes one look forward more eagerly to the celebration of Christmas. Rather than being caught up in the busyness of preparation for Christmas Day, this book softly and gently reminds the reader on everyday of December to refocus on Christ.
