The "hole in our holiness" is that evangelicals don't look particularly holy. In fact, there seems to be a greater focus on either personal depravity or moral liberalism rather than on the pursuit of holiness. Looking to right the balances, Kevin DeYoung presents an award-winning, popular-level book on sanctification and union with Christ, helping readers to see what matters most--being like Jesus. He shows how one can be like Christ in being joined to Christ. The market is ready for DeYoung's timely word, ready to avoid legalism and ambivalence, and they are ready for someone to articulate the inextricable relationship between grace and holiness. Value for Everyone

This book on Holiness is very valuable to give a good understanding on the subject and avoid the extremes of """"because of grace I don't need to be too concerned or serious"""", or,"""" I can never please God, and am so discouraged""""\\nIt is easy to read, Theologically sound, thought provoking and challenging, and encouraging. \\nWhile I may prefer the classics of J C Ryle, R C Sproul, I was pleasantly surprised how good this book was. This is a timely book for people of all ages at all times. \\n\\n

    A must read!

DeYoung writes a very concise and theological sound book on pursuing holiness. Particularly helpful was the his section on 'the gospel pancake'; union with Christ and pursuing holiness; and dating sexual immorality. \\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\nOne of my favourite quotes from this book is: """"God not only works obedience in us by His grace, it's also by his grace that our imperfect obedience is acceptable. """"\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\nThis is a easy to read book that I'd highly recommend to all christian to give clarity to a biblical understanding of pursuing holiness.
