For more than twenty years Douglas Moo's NICNT volume on Romans has been providing pastors, students, and scholars with profound insight into Paul's most famous letter. In this thorough revision of his commentary, Moo deals with issues that have come into prominence since the first edition (1996), incorporating the latest research and rewriting the text throughout for better comprehension.

Exegetically astute and theologically minded, Moo interacts critically with the new perspective on Paul, highlights the emphasis in Romans on "practical divinity," and traces the theme of the gospel throughout the letter. Comprehensive

This is a standard commentary for any serious study of Romans. It engages with technical issues, especially in teh footnotes. This commentary is aimed at those who have a knowledge of Greek, though a serious student would benefit from it even without a knowledge of Greek. Highly recommended.

    Great commentary on Romans

Excellent commentary. Though a delightfully logical book, Romans certainly has complexity to it. And yet Moo has a wonderful ability to tackle the complexity head-on in a concise, understandable manner. He gives opposing viewpoints a fair hearing, and yet makes it clear why he chooses a particular interpretation of passages. His writing in general is insightful and is certainly not dry or dull -an important trait for those writing commentaries! \\r\\nMoo also has a great way of connecting passages in with one another, and of highlighting how a particular passage fits in with the overall thrust of the book. \\r\\nIf anyone wanted to do an in-depth study of Romans, then this is one of the first books to turn to, for sure.
