    Easy to read.

The main characters were quite unusual and I have little knowledge of Irish history, so I was interested to read that Ballymacool actually exists. Using Gaelic frequently also adds character to the story. A memorable story.

    a sweet Irish romance

A well written clean romance with a bit of mystery between several characters. The characterization was well done, though I was a bit disappointed in the lack of follow through on a couple side characters. The leading man was humble and capable. So caring and down-to-earth even though his relations could be a bit prideful as to their station. The leading lady was in a horrible circumstance and yet maintained a pretty good attitude. An enjoyable read.

    Stunning and immersive!

The Maid of Ballymacool swept me away to another era with striking ease. The feelings were conveyed so naturally and the descriptions of time and place came across as such accessible and seemingly effortless prose that I was no longer just reading the story, I was fully immersed and became a part of it!\\n This book was amazing! I loved Brianna and the whole host of lovable and quirky characters that brought this story to life. The storyline of an overworked and under-appreciated maid, who still boasts a cheerful and thankful spirit, has got to be one of my absolute favorites! \\n I am SO enamored with this book and the truly stunning talent that I've discovered in Author Jennifer Deibel! Though this was my first book by her, I am already a huge fan of her style and will be looking to read the rest of what she has available, along with keeping an eye out for what comes next from her!
