Captivating reading for children (ages 8 to mid teens)
The Picture Bible is excellent for young readers aged 8 to mid teens, particularly boys. The wonderful comic-book style colourful illustrations in this children's' Bible dramatically capture the essence and truth of each Bible story told. Age appropriate English language is used, and the drawings are culturally true to the setting and era. The pictures pull the reader into the moments of action, captivating attention and producing heartfelt emotion. Highly recommended!

Excellent investment
This comic Bible has realistic and detailed illustrations that really capture the reader's interest. I have watched my children spend hours reading this book. It provides an excellent chronology of the Bible and an accurate introduction to all the major stories in the Scripture. Scripture references are provided with all the stories. I owned this picture Bible as a child (then in six parts) and credit it with contributing to my extensive awareness of the many Bible stories. It is easy and engaging reading for children or adults and I have given this book to both children and adults who would benefit from an accurate introduction to all the major stories in the Scripture. As a parent, I recommend this book as one of the best investments you could make into your children's spiritual growth.

Fun!
Whenever I pick up this book I just can't put it down. It is very thorough in its content and presents the Bible in a fun new way. The illustrations are very detailed and eye-catching, and the whole book flows nicely. This is a great gift idea for young children or just about anyone who loves comics.

Enjoyable reading
This is a very good picture Bible. \\r\\nWe had it in separate small books for our family, now buying for our grandchildren. It gives the spirit excitement of the events in a format which young people relate to. \\r\\nIt follows the story line of the Bible in a chronological manner.
