**In the revised edition of his hit book *The Sacred Search,* author Gary Thomas helps single people of all ages make wise marital choices, in large part by rethinking what basis those choices should be made on.**

Readers are encouraged to think beyond finding their "soul mate," an idea that has its roots in the philosophy of Plato, and instead adopt a more biblical search for a "sole mate"- someone who will walk with them on their spiritual journey.

Thomas asks, What if we focused on *why* to get married more than on *who* to marry? What if being "in love" isn't a good enough reason to get married? And most of all, what if God designed marriage to make us *holy* more than to make us *happy*?

The Sacred Search - A MUST READ

A friend of mine recommended (and bought this book for me - she was so sure it would help me on my path to knowing/confirming God's will for my marital life). \\n\\nIf you're yet to be married (whether single or engaged), this book is a MUST read for you. I grew up thinking that """"Will of God"""" is just ONE person single person in the world and if you're not in the right place, then you will never find that one person and you will never be married. This book is indeed an eye opener that it's not about the WHO, but the WHY. Why do you have to be married to that person? Does your relationship/courtship glorify God? Is him/her the right person for YOU? \\n\\nThis book not only makes you ask the right questions (questions that you can answer for yourself and also get your fiance to answer whenever they come along) but it also connects you back to your Maker. I personally prayed the lessons into my life after reading each chapter and learnt so much by the end of the entire book. I am also grateful to say that by the end of the book, I was even more sure that the person the Lord has led me to is indeed the right person - the book was part of my CONFIRMATION. \\n\\nJust as my friend recommended this book, I too recommend this to everyone single/engaged person out there. Even if your wedding date has been set and you begin reading this book and realise that the person you're about to marry is not the right one for you, PLEASE follow God's lead. A broken courtship is better than a…
