The Strength of His Hand (#03 in Chronicles Of The Kings Series)$27.99
I flew through this series and devoured each one. You will never read about Asherah, the fertility Godess idol in the bible again without remembering how she affected Hezekiah's life in the story. Next time you read a mention of the Assyrian army in the bible you will have a renewed understanding of the brutality and vulgarity of their history. Strongly recommend!

Fictionised Isiah
I found this series amazing. It really helped me to understand the complexities of relationships and timelines mentioned in Isiah and in the Chronicles. I would highly recommend these books to anyone who has ever put Isiah in the too hard basket. Althought I must point out that this book is not ALL biblical fact. \\r\\n\\r\\nLynn has done a fantastic job in this series making the book of Isiah and the chronicles come alive. Austin has done a truly amazing job researching these works, she connects dots I didn't realise were there. She is very clear in the introduction about what is from the text and what has been created from literary licence and from documents from the time. \\r\\n\\r\\nIn this series the kings come alive, they become accessible people we can empathise with and appreciate. Isiah has become one of my favourite books as a result of reading this series.
