Really refreshing to see a teen drama with some deep meaning. Great film to watch with teenager and speak about tough issues like self harm, teen pregnancy and suicide

    Living Faith

Highly recommended film, especially to teenagers. This movie is a powerful reflection of the light we need to be in this world, what saving faith looks like, the importance of living out our faith and making God honouring decisions and how much of an impact we can have on the lives of others for either good or bad.

    Good Movie

This movie brings to light issues that are often faced in school (some more so american schools, but in Australia as well). However the struggles that are shown in this movie can relate to life outside of school age as well. \\r\\n\\r\\nThis movie shows how we as humans should reach out to others in need and not just put on blinders as to what is going on around us. It shows how church is not perfect and that there are indeed 'wolfs in sheep's clothing' with in the church and that the choices we make have an effect. \\r\\n\\r\\nThere are adult themes in this movie so I would stick with the M rating. However, parents should talk to their children about some of the topics that are raised in this movie! \\r\\n\\r\\nThe movie has been well made and the story line flows well. I recommend this movie. \\r\\n

Does your faith change your life?

This movie takes a bit of a splatter gun approach as it very briefly covers suicide, cutting, teen drinking, teen pregnancy and also divorce. Initially i was a little offended by some of this but as i watched the movie, i decided that these are real issues for teens and the main focus in the movie was the lead character Jake becoming a Christian and then trying to work out how he should be living this out and what changes he should be making in his life. Very challenging when this new Christian is watching the people who have grown up in church and call themselves Christians but are participating in just as much destructive behavior as the non-Christians. The movie left me reflecting on my own behavior and does my faith make me treat others better and would my life motivate others to follow Christ? Great movie and reasonable acting.

Enjoyable but tries to be too much

I did enjoy this film, as it deals with some important issues, but parts of it left me feeling a little flat due it trying to 'say' to much and push too many messages on us. Some of the acting of the fringe characters was very poor. But I don't want to be too negative about this as I guess it does set out what it tries to do. Overall, however I could recommend this as a watchable film.
