My Nanna recommended this little devotional to me, and I'm so glad she did. It's a classic, and centres on prayer and waiting on God...not just talking at Him, or even just talking to Him, but more like abiding in Him, in a two-way relationship. It's beautiful, and each day has a short devotion, so it's very simple to add to your bible reading routine.
