An easy book to read which gives very practical instruction as to how we should live. To be in touch with God and know His heart for us as individuals and The Church.

I also love the 40 day devotional at the back of the book. Taking time to go through recording and answering the questions asked will help you understand more of His Love and direction.

Absolutely extraordinary book!! Read the original when it came out in 2003, was amazed, one of the truly ground breaking christian books!! And very biblical. This expanded version is even better. This is the way we were meant to operate as Christians! Faith is spelt """"R-I-S-K"""", and releasing the love of God to the world as Jesus did requires Risk (faith). Couldn't recommend this book more to all Christians, especially those following in the footsteps of Jesus!

There were a couple of big concerns i had about the some of the ideas in this book. My concerns stem from what i believe are foundations of the christian faith. I acknowledge that they are not the main themes of the book but they do have implications for the main themes of the book. \\r\\n1. He plays down the divinity of Jesus to the point of denying Jesus was God. Part of his understanding for christians to perform miracles is because Jesus did miracles not as God but as man. By playing down Jesus divinity there is a danger for christians to downplay Jesus and his power and instead focus on the miracles they are performing. \\r\\n2. He drives a wedge between understanding the bible and the work of the spirit. He is critical of a knowledge of the bible that is unfruitful and produces pride (which i agree wholeheartedly is a problem) however his answer is to follow the spirit beyond what we know. I think this answer is very vague and can lead people away from Gods way of transforming people into the people God want them to be. Which is through the spirit working through Gods word. \\r\\n\\r\\nHe often quotes only parts of verses and i believe he often misses the point of what is written by doing so. Sometimes if the rest of the verse was quoted he would have come to a very different conclusion. \\r\\nRead it with your bible open

It is rare that I give 5 stars for anything, but Bill Johnson's When Heaven Invades Earth is just THAT good! His teaching is practical, down to earth, easy to read but at the same time challenging! The devotional at the end of the book also helps to expand and apply what is learnt while reading, a great addition to this edition!\\r\\n\\r\\nThis book is a must for anyone who wants to fully experience a Heaven INVASION! You will begin to pray differently, act differently and live differently as a result of this teaching!
