Christians are increasingly seen as outdated, restrictive and judgmental when it comes to sex before marriage, cohabitation, homosexuality, gender identity, or transgender rights. In fact for many people, this issue is one of the biggest barriers for them considering Christianity.

Sam Allberry, author of many books including Is God Anti-Gay? sets out God's good design for the expression of human sexuality, showing that God himself is love and that only he can satisfy our deepest desires.

It is a great reminder of the Bible's positive blueprint for love, sex, and marriage and ideal for giving away to people who may see this as a stumbling block for belief.

THE OXFORD APOLOGETICS SERIES

Science and psychology, sex and suffering, philosophy and history. There are many complex questions that are either blockages to faith for those who are not Christian, or problems of faith for those who are Christian believers.

In this series, top academics in their field grapple with these questions in a way that is accessible to those who may have little or no background in the area. The authors are drawn from a pool of academics, writers, speakers and thinkers connected to the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics.

A compelling and reasonable book for people asking that question

I have a friend asking this very question, so I purchased this book to read, with the view to potentially lend/give it to them. \\n\\nIt makes a compelling and reasonable case (without being judgmental) for why God has placed boundaries on sex. Whether the reader chooses to agree or disagree with the content, there is certainly a lot of food for thought and some significant ideas to reflect on. \\n\\nThis book doesn't just look at things superficially, but gets to the heart stuff and God's big picture. \\n\\nI would happily recommend this book for teenagers too.
