This is an exceptional book! After the Word of God I'd rate it in the top 5 books I've ever read. Ravenhill writes with heat and passion. His style is confrontational at times, but he wrote to what he perceived to be a lukewarm Western church and called out the church's lack of prayer and wrong priorities. I was first impacted by this book back in 1987 and continue to recommend it to Christian friends today, and love to quote it. A must read! But expect to be challenged.

Essential
This oft-mentioned classic is a must read! Ravenhill's reflections and clear exhortation are a sure call from a righteous watchman. The book still stands strong fifty years later where Revival is concerned. To see Ravi Zacharias' endorsement on the cover and Tozer's preface is saying a lot already.

Great Book on Prayer
As I am reading this book, I feel like I want to highlight every sentence because what he talked about is so true. In this book, Leonard gives a prophetic call to revival and he explained how many Christians have neglected what is supposed to be the breath of their spiritual life, that is prayer. We have so many resources compared to the First Believers in the Book of Acts, yet lack the power of God. If you want to light up the fire of prayer in your life again, this book is a must.
