Cossette Consistently Brings the Old Testament to Life in an Engrossing, Fresh New Way
Alanah, a Canaanite, is no stranger to fighting and survival. When her family is killed in battle with the Hebrews, she disguises herself and sneaks onto the battlefield to avenge her family. The one thing she never counted on was surviving.
Tobiah, a Hebrew warrior, is shocked to find an unconscious, wounded woman among the Canaanite casualties. Compelled to bring her to a Hebrew healer back at their camp, he is soon confronted with a truth he can't ignore: the only way to protect this enemy is to marry her.
Unused to being weak and vulnerable, Alanah submits to the marriage--for now. As she comes to know and respect Tobiah and his people, however, she begins to second-guess her plans of escape. But when her past has painfully unanticipated consequences, the tentative peace she's found with Tobiah, the Hebrews, and Yahweh is shaken to the core. Can Alanah's fierce heart and strength withstand the ensuing threats to her life and all she's come to love?

Wings of the Wind (#03 in Out From Egypt Series)$27.99
This book was such a fascinating look into the Biblical Canaanite world! From first page to last, I was utterly captivated by Alanah's and Tobiah's stories. I loved how the two of them grew, both in their own lives, together, and in the faith they had in God. It was so beautiful! It left me with such a bigger view of God and his incredible grace and love for his people. Highly recommend.

Hard To Put Down
Captivated from the beginning, Connilyn paints such a vivid picture of the war between Israel and the surrounding nations. Seeing the battle through the eyes of a Caananite woman, the reader is transported back through time, and touched by the very real events that took place. A stand-out scene for me was when the snakes come into the camp. The sorrow and torment of the moment is so real, and I could not tear myself away from the book.

Thinking Deeper
Cossette has done it again with a thrilling third instalment to the 'Out of Egypt' book series. Cossette's attention to detail is obvious and undermines suspicions regarding truth vs fiction in relation to biblical facts. Cossette's chosen writing style is captivating and draws you in from the first page. \\r\\n'Wings of the Wind' tells the story of a Canaanite woman, Alanah, and a Hebrew Warrior, Tobiah, as their lives unexpectedly intertwine. Alanah and Tobiah both contain many strengths and weaknesses and the reader is taken on a journey of self-discovery, reconciliation, forgiveness and dependency on Yahweh. \\r\\nAlthough touching on some tough truths about the past, this book encourages you to look beyond the words of a story, and into the lives of the men and women who lived it. \\r\\nThis book has absolutely everything; adventure, action, suspense, romance, history, etc. \\r\\nI would definitely recommend this book, and I look forward to reading more from Connilyn Cossette. \\r\\n

Intense but Brilliant
This third book in the Out of Egypt draws you in from the first page, just like the first two. I found it hard to put the book down although at times it was so intense that I wanted to. This story commences near the end of the Israelite's forty years of wandering in the desert. We do this journey through eyes of a Canaanite woman, Alanah and a Hebrew warrior, Tobiah. I loved the way I was made to feel their questions, pain, confusion and grief yet also felt the grace and presence of God, Yahweh, all the way through. I finished the book encouraged in my relationship with God especially with a greater sense of His care, grace and presence with me.
