A reminder of whose we are

We've had this little book for years, and it's still read many times in our house. A wonderful story about a little Wemmick called Punchinello who thinks that his worth is in what he has, but that continues to vary when he continues to compare himself to others who have more than him, especially because he can't afford to buy as much as others. He believes that the more he has, the better he is, and the happier he will be. But he ends up tired, miserable, and has pushed his friends aside. Punchinello gets a wakeup call when he stumbles into Eli's workshop (the creator of the Wemmicks). He asks him if he thinks he made Wemmicks to act this way? Punchinello then learns a very important, eternal truth. That it's not what he has that makes him special, it's who he is, and whose he is. Easy to read font, would recommend.

Nice story but too long for a board book

This is a lovely story. But as the full story is published in this edition, it is far too wordy for a board book format aimed at under 3yrs. My child has a very good attention span for age but it is still too much. Better to buy the non board book when they are older.

    Heart Warming Story

A story about being jealous about wanting more, then when you have more you want to out do everyone and have more than everyone. By having everything and more than everyone else doesn't make you happy in the end Eli is God and he tells us that we are all special not because of what you have but who you are this is important to remember.

    Showing Gods love

this is a perfect book for young children who are feeling unloved or just want to reinforce the love of God in their lives. It explains gods love in such a beautiful way and i love reading this book to my son and hope one day he will undterstand the deep and meaningful messages within it.
