    Best books

Absolutely love the lost sheep books, especially this one. I came away with a new revelation of this teaching from reading the book with my kids. They also grew in their understanding and had some wonderful discussion afterwards. Such great books.

    Great series - lovely story

Part of a lovely book series (Lost sheep) for children. There are a couple of sentences on each double page, so this book is suitable for young kids but the message would also be appreciated by older kids too. The story is written by an Aussie. The pictures are very simple but bright and colourful, and illustrate the story. In short, this book is about Basil the grapevine branch who is unsuccessfully trying to grow grapes on his own. This story emphasises the need to trust God.

    Brilliant!!!

I love these Lost Sheep stories! And my kids do too, which is nice, given they're technically written for the kids and not the adult's enjoyment! Let's just say we enjoy them together. But really, the whole series is great, and this one is no different. \\r\\n\\r\\nIt's all about poor Basil, a branch on the grapevine. He's trying so hard to grow grapes on his own, wiggling his shoulders and straining really hard, but no matter how hard he tries, he just can't do it. Until the vine speaks up and reminds him it's got nothing to do with him. A really great (brightly coloured, hilariously funny, typically Australian) story about putting our faith where it matters - on God, not ourselves. \\r\\n
