    So beautiful

Claudia the Caterpillar wants to fly but no matter how hard she tries, she just goes thud. And then she asks God to make her fly, but the results aren't exactly what she's expecting. Instead of making her fly, he wraps her up and puts her in a dark place. But then, of course, something happens. In many ways, this book is just the simple story of a caterpillar becoming a butterfly, but it's so much more. A really beautiful story, told in such a fun way, about letting God take us through the hard and dark times to become who he wants us to be. Absolutely beautiful and one I'd highly recommend.

    Great for young kids

The story is written by an Aussie. The pictures are very simple but bright and colourful. There are a couple of sentences for each double page, so is great for 2-4yr olds. The story is subtly linked to the bible. In short, Claudia the caterpillar wants to fly like all the other butterflies, so she unsuccessfully tries to fly. After asking God for help, He wraps her up in a chrysalis. \\nThis books is part of a series.

    A salvation story for kids

Poor Claudia is unhappy with her life on the ground. She wants to fly but every time she tries, she fails. Then she asks God for help but his solution astounds her. This is a salvation story at heart, using the metaphor of the chrysalis. The teaching notes at the back of the book link to scripture and provide a framework to discuss what being born again means with reference to Claudia's journey. The cheery cartoons enhance this text with cute details such as bandaids on Claudia which add humour to this tale.
