This is a brilliant series. The first book does take a little while to get a grasp on the world within, but it is so worth the effort. Each book in this series builds and draws you in. I read these aloud to my kids and then we listened to the audio books (read by the author!) on a long road trip we did as a family. These books are almost never in our home library because we constantly lend them out to friends. Highly recommended!

Read it!
This book is a bit of a slow start but so, so worth it! The series brilliantly weaves spiritual themes into a fantasy world. Can be quite intense at times, don't give it to a younger, sensitive reader. My kids loved it and I loved it.

One of my favourite series!
The first book in the series was a great start to the Wingfeather story! Highly recommend for 12-13 and over.

Pure genius
This series starts off quirky and charming, inviting the reader into the world of Aerwiar where countless monsters and quests await. I read this as a bit of research for my kids and soon was hooked. I would recommend this for kids over 12, there are some scary parts. Beware- once you start reading you will not easily be able to put it down!
