Peter the Fisherman (Lost Sheep Series)

This Lost Sheep series is written by an Aussie. This particular story is a nice book for children of a range of ages. There are a couple of sentences for each double page and the pictures are very simple but bright and colourful. In short, this books talks about how great Peter is at fishing and then one day he doesn't catch anything. The story shows Peter's reaction to Jesus helping them with an amazing catch of fish.

Peter's a really good fisherman. In fact, he might be the best. Which, of course, doesn't help him any when he doesn't catch any fish at all one night. This is a bright fun book for kids. As typical of the Lost Sheep series, the pictures are bright and eye catching. It is the story of when Jesus calls Peter, James and John to follow Him after He helps them make the amazing catch of fish with the focus being on Peter's reactions. My grand kids ask for it to be read to them again and again. There is so much potential opened up to talk it through with the kids. Another great Lost Sheep book.
