Part of a great series of books

The story is written by an Aussie. The pictures are very simple but very bright and colourful. There are a couple of sentences for each double page, so is great for younger kids through to adults! The story is subtly linked to Proverbs. This books is part of a series from the people at Lost Sheep. These books really capture kids and in this instance would be a great book to generate discussions with older children!

    Tool for discussions

This book picks out four individual proverbs and portrays them each through illustrations before including each proverb at the end. I would recommend using this book as a tool for deeper discussions about life with older children, than as a book for enjoyment reading. Though the images are certainly enjoyable.

    Different

I love the Lost Sheep series of books but although this one has the beautiful bright coloured pictures it is a little difficult to understand. I would recommend it more for older children rather than preschool children.

    funny and interactive

We love this edition of the lost sheep series, it is a little different to others as it is not a story. \\r\\n\\r\\nThere are minimal words but the kids love making up voices for the sheep as they argue or do silly things and it has provided great conversation about wisdom and our actions.

    Wordless book

I've loved all the books in this Lost Sheep series but this one threw me with how obscure it was. Unlike all the others, it doesn't have words, relying on the comic-strip-like pictures to get the message across. And, to be honest, the proverbs chosen are kind of random and take a lot of explanation for young kids. Cute pictures, great idea but not the easiest book to read kids.
