The Fear of the Lord

John's book, The Fear of the Lord, challenges the reader to have a holy fear of the Lord that leads to our salvation and worship. He said, 'We will serve what we fear. ' He supports his view with many quotations from the Bible showing how important it is to fear the Lord. When we fear Him we won't hide sin in our hearts but will fear Him more than mortal men. It would keep us from 'compromising God's truth for the pursuit of personal gain. ' The book contains many truths about fearing the Lord God above all things. Only then will we truly obey Him like Abraham and other biblical leaders did. \\nThe writer ends with a list of quotations of the promises God makes for fearing Him and the reward that will follow. I am encouraged from reading the book to share God's Word with others with a right focus. I believe this book is worth reading and strongly recommend it to everyone. \\n

His thorough Biblical teaching is life changing, and he backs it up with relevant true-life stories to help explain how what he it teaching applies to real people in real situations. The Fear of the Lord teaching transformed my life - I also have the CDs and listen in the car, but reading it allows me to soak in the Word of God, review bits, and slow it down to prayerfully consider how I need to change. Don't miss it. It also makes a great small group Bible study.
