Encourages Kids to tell others about Jesus

The repeated theme in this story is that “Jesus died so that we can be forgiven, came back from the dead so we can live forever, and sent his Holy Spirit so that we can follow him as our King. ”

It’s the message the Paul and Silas preached and that we are told is being spoken in languages all around the world. The book ends with “Do you know what you can do? You can tell people about Jesus too!”

What a wonderful way to teach kids to respond to the story!

We read this to a 3 year old book lover with no problems EXCEPT I usually edit the page that says the jailer “takes his sword to take his own life. ” to be something about him being punished for letting the prisoners escape.

    Lovely

This book tells the story of the disciples, Paul and Silas, when they were wrongly accused and put into jail. They were sharing their faith with the other prisoners by singing praises to God. Then the earthquake happened so that they could be free and they saved them jailer, so he could believe in God also. I love this encouraging story of two people, who could have been in despair, still found hope in God. This book is suitable for 8 to 12 year olds. It helps us want to share the Good News with others, just like Paul and Silas did, even in jail
