4. 5 stars\\nThis series has been on my wishlist for ages because I was looking for Christian fiction that inspires and teaches me. I wanted to read Sensible Shoes first but this was the book that was available. While it would be best to read the series from the beginning this book can be read as a standalone. \\nReal people with everyday kinds of problems. This novel explores how four women learn to follow Jesus through their daily lives. \\nThis is a book full of spiritual depth and the kind of book that would be worth re-reading. \\nI look forward to reading more in the series.

How wonderful to reconnect with the characters in this book who seem like """"old friends"""". They share very real and personal struggles and I found that reading the book and allowing time for self examination and devotions after each chapter took me on my own journey of personal discovery and healing. I found that the tools of """"scripture meditation"""" and """"praying with imagination"""" and """"examen"""" really come to life as you see each of the characters use them and you then apply them yourself. Not a book to be rushed through but studied and enjoyed! A warning, the first book was complete in itself but if you read this book, make sure that you have the third book on the way as the conclusion is very much left up in the air.
