To those who matter in 1950s Hollywood, Lena Scott is the hottest rising star to hit the silver screen since Marilyn Monroe. Few know her real name is Abra. Even fewer know the price she's paid to finally feel like she's somebody.

To Pastor Ezekiel Freeman, Abra will always be the little girl who stole his heart the night he found her, a wailing newborn abandoned under a bridge on the outskirts of Haven. Zeke and his son, Joshua - Abra's closest friend - watch her grow into an exotic beauty. But Zeke knows the circumstances surrounding her birth etched scars deep in her heart, scars that leave her vulnerable to a fast-talking bad boy who proclaims his love and lures her to Tinseltown. Hollywood feels like a million miles from Haven, and naive Abra quickly learns what's expected of an ambitious girl with stars in her eyes. But fame comes at an awful price. She has burned every bridge to get exactly what she thought she wanted. Now, all she wants is a way back home.

In this riveting and highly anticipated tale of temptation, grace, and unconditional love, New York Times best-selling author Francine Rivers delivers big-canvas storytelling at its very best.

    Favourite Read of the Year

Francine River's novels are always a great read! In Bridge to Haven, Francine has done a great job of writing a plot that is relevant and relatable and I love how she makes faith and biblical themes central in the storyline. This is by far my favourite read of the year, and is a great encouragement for anyone struggling with keeping faith when going through tough times.

    Absolutely beautiful story!

I loved this book almost as much as I loved Redeeming Love - Francine Rivers at her best! This book tells the tale of Abra, a baby found abandoned under a bridge in the 50s era. The characters are woven beautifully and I love the pain and confusion as Abra tries to find herself and find meaning in her life after being raised by another family, who she is not convinced love her either. She looks for love in the wrong places and ends up falling so far she is not sure she can come back. It is a wonderful prodigal son story.

    Hollywood Historical Fiction

Abandonment, rejection and identity crisis - what more could you want in a novel?\\n\\nYet again, Francine Rivers delivers a compelling novel following the journey of a lost soul into the bright lights of Hollywood - circa 1936. This novel touches on issues very close to the heart, including acceptance, love and redemption. \\n\\nBridge to Haven opens your eyes to the trap many young women face in trying to be someone or something they are not; simply to be loved and accepted. \\n\\nFrancine paints a very real picture of decisions and the consequences that follow, however always remembering there is grace and forgiveness if we truly want it.

    Worth it

This is a good book to read at leisure. It's not as good as Francine Rivers' Redeeming Love but it was a good enough to make it to the end and I found it pretty entertaining
