One of the most popular and beloved introductions to the concept of faith ever written, *Mere Christianity* has sold millions of copies worldwide. The timeless questions of spirituality which Lewis raises will have resonance with a new generation of readers.

*Mere Christianity* brings together Lewis's legendary broadcast talks of the war years, talks in which he set out simply to 'explain and defend the belief that has been common to nearly all Christians at all times.' Rejecting the boundaries that divide Christianity's many denominations, C.S. Lewis provides an unequaled opportunity for believers and nonbelievers alike to hear a powerful, rational case for the Christian faith. This scintillating collection confirms C.S. Lewis's reputation as one of the leading writers and thinkers of our age.

*"He has quite a unique power for making theology an attractive, exciting and fascinating quest."*
Times Literary Supplement

*"Lewis seeks in Mere Christianity to help us see religion with fresh eyes, as a radical faith whose adherents might be likened to an underground group gathering in a war zone, a place where evil seems to have the upper hand, to hear messages of hope from the other side."*

    A must read

    C. S. Lewis’ Mere Christianity spells out what it is that Christian’s believe, giving compelling defences for Christianity’s core beliefs. This is a must read for every Christian, and highly recommended for anyone wanting to learn about Christianity.

A fantastic introduction to what Christianity is

A great read for both Christians and non-Christians alike - Lewis explains and defends what Christianity ‘actually is’ to a culture that swims in its moralistic and institutional legacy without grasping the message of Christ itself. Packed full of helpful illustrations. Lacking details in some areas, and some analogies or claims are questionable, but on the whole, a great explication of how Christianity fulfils what every human truly wants and deep down knows they need.

    Loved it

I loved this book. Will definitely need to re-read because it's very dense and sometimes difficult to understand on a first read. Absolutely packed with wisdom and guidance for the Christian life.

    Eye-opening read

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. At first I thought it might be a boring book on morality, but it was actually very fascinating and helpful. I love the metaphors C. S. Lewis comes up with, it really helps in understanding. Had a few laughs out of it too. Overall, an important book that offers practical advice on becoming becoming children of God.
