Journeys to the end of the world, fantastic creatures, and epic battles between good and evil - what more could any reader ask for in one book? The book that has it all is The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, written in 1949 by Clive Staples Lewis. But Lewis did not stop there. Six more books followed, and together they became known as The Chronicles of Narnia.
For the past fifty years, The Chronicles of Narnia have transcended the fantasy genre to become part of the canon of classic literature. Each of the seven books is a masterpiece, drawing the reader into a land where magic meets reality, and the result is a fictional world whose scope has fascinated generations.

My favourite book
I love the Narnia Chronicles. I got given it at church and I had read it in about 5 days. My favourite book in the collection is The Last Battle. The spine of the book doesn't hold together that well, and some pages have fallen out, but otherwise amazing.

Timeless for all ages
Having grown up with this series (the original story, kid versions, tv series, movie. . . ), it's one I've always loved but every time I read it, I'm struck again by the depth of it. The words and themes of forgiveness and grace and sacrifice were all there back when I was a child, but the older I get, the more they impact me. No, technically it's not an allegory - it's a story about deep magic - and yet it's impossible not to see the parallels to Jesus's sacrifice, his power over death and the incredible grace he offers. Such an incredibly powerful, gripping, well-told story. An absolute must for children and adults alike, Christians and non. Incredible version too!

I couldn't put this series down.
The Chronicles of Nania are the best books I have ever read. I am always quoting them and it has many good lessons in the book that teach us about God's love. I am a pre-teen but I'd recommend it for advanced readers. The type is very small but it's a compact book for a full series.
